PDP Supporters Stage Early Morning Rally To ‘protect’ Their Early Lead In Osun Election (photos)

The supporters claimed they came to protect the early lead of their candidate. 

Some supporters of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) have staged an early morning rally in Osogbo, the Osun state capital, to protect their early lead in the state’s governorship election. correspondent on ground reports that the supporters kept chanting different victory songs as their candidate, Senator Ademola Adeleke, leads the polls according to the results already announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Osogbo.

The protesters stormed the INEC collation centre in Osogbo, were excited about the results of the election announced so far.

“‘Finally, God has brought the reign of APC to an end in Osun’, ‘you cannot kill Ademola the way you killed Isiaka’, ‘our eyes have been opened, we now know the truth’,”were among the songs sung by the PDP supporters on Sunday morning.

The commuters in front of the INEC office were also jubilant when they were passing as the supporters kept urging them on with chants of ‘power, power’ renting the air.

The announcement of the election results was still ongoing as at the time this report was compiled.
