Babaleftonline Picks: The 10 Best Nigerian Songs From The Third Quarter Of 2018

At the end of the second quarter of the year, we gleefully took stock of some of the best Nigerian songs we’d gotten so far – from Mr Eazi’s brilliant “London Town” to Skepta and Wizkid’s iconic “Energy (Stay Far Away)”.

Now, as 2018 is slowly coming to an end, we’ll be looking back at all the singles that were released by Nigerian artists between the months of July and September, and highlighting the ten that, in our opinion, truly stood out from the rest.

Only two artists who appeared on our second quarter list made it on to this list as well: Olamide and Mr Eazi. Olamide was also featured on our first quarter list, making him one of 2018’s most consistent and undeniable hitmakers.

So, from fantastic collaborations like Tiwa Savage and Duncan Mighty’s “Lova Lova” to party-starters like Olamide’s Killertunes-produced “Motigbana”, here are our picks of the ten very best songs from the third quarter of the year.

Tiwa Savage ft. Duncan Mighty — “Lova Lova”

Olamide — “Motigbana”

Davido — “Nwa Baby”

Mr Eazi ft. Mo-T — “Property”

Johnny Drille ft. Simi — “Halleluya”

Niniola — “Bana”

Simi — “I Dun Care”

Santi ft. Bridge & Nonso Amadi — “Freaky”

Mayorkun — “Posh”

Tay Iwar — “Miracle Girl”
