Must Read: Identical Twin Sisters Transform Into Twin Brothers

Two identical twin sisters, 23, have now become twin brothers after they both came out as transgender at the age of 18 and decided to transition.

Jack and Jace Grafe were formerly Jaclyn and Jennifer. They were born in June 1995 in a conservative Christian home.

But despite being brought up in a happy household, the brothers admit they cried themselves to sleep as children and prayed to wake up as boys, not understanding what it meant to be transgender.

Jack and Jace, who were originally from Baltimore, Maryland, but now live in Monroe, Georgia, are now transitioning into men. They are both in happy relationships with women.

The twins, who share the same DNA, have both grown facial hair since they began taking testosterone in April 2017, and underwent chest surgery in August.

Now the criminal justice graduates, who both work in law enforcement, have shared their extraordinary story in a bid to inspire others who may be going through similar experiences.

Jack, a deputy sheriff’s officer, said:

As a kid I would cry and pray to God that I would wake up in a male body, not even understanding that being transgender was a thing.

Now, I am the happiest with myself that I have been in my entire life. That uncomfortable feeling we had before has completely gone.

He continued:

When we came out, it was to our whole family – mum, dad and our older sister.

Our parents had never seen anything like it. They have never experienced gay or transgender people and my dad is a pastor. We live in Georgia.

Explaining the battle he faced, Jack added:

At work I have had my fair share of people calling me a ‘sh*t’ – she, he, it. Usually they just don’t understand.

People still refer to us as female. Whenever I hear ‘she’ or ‘her’ it is like a kick in the stomach.

It hurts but I get it. At a young age, I was skeptical of it myself. For some people, it is a hard pill to swallow.

There are times when I wish I was just born – and I don’t mean this in a negative way -but ‘normal’, and that I was biologically male.

People say, ‘You will never be able to change your chromosomes, you can only change the outside.’

There are still times when I come home and break down.

Jace, who is also a deputy officer and just started in the police academy, added:

Honestly, the twin thing has helped.

If I was to go back to when I was 15 or 16 I would never think in a million years that I would have got to this point.

It was a fantasy and I always wished it was going to happy but I wasn’t brave enough. I didn’t have the guts.

Being a twin means I don’t feel alone. Somebody else is experiencing the exact same things as I am going through and that made me stronger.

According to Dailymail, Growing up, the Grafe girls wore boyish clothes, assumed the role of dad or brother when playing house and, as teenagers, had crushes on female classmates.

But they also attended a strict religious school and say they ran the risk of being thrown out if they also revealed their feelings so didn’t tell anyone – not even each other.

Then, at the age of 15, the twins began attending cosplay conventions where they dressed up as male characters, something they both say “felt natural”. When they finished high school they hacked off their hair and they later came out to one another, firstly as gay aged 16 and two years later as transgender.

Five years on Jace, of Athens, Georgia, is dating Emory College student Jess Smith, 19, and Jack is engaged to bakery manager Maygon Arrington, 22, whom he lives with in nearby Monroe, Georgia.

Jack said:

It was even hard to tell each other that we liked girls, but when I told Jace and asked if he would have a different opinion of me he was like, ‘No, I feel the same way.’

When he said ‘me too’ I felt relieved and not alone any more. It was scary.. I was honestly terrified.

Jace added:

I felt the same way about the whole thing. We talked to each other about everything but this was the one subject we were awkward about.

We were raised in a really religious household and didn’t want to tell each other how we were feeling because we were scared the other would judge us.

I was scared because I held my twin’s opinion higher than anybody else so if he didn’t accept me I would be devastated.

At one point I even tried to date a guy to see if the feelings would go away but they didn’t.

I found out Jack was transgender through a Facebook post on his profile, which was specifically for our cosplay friends and had no family.

I was like, ‘If you feel like this why didn’t you tell me?’ He said it was awkward, that it was much more than saying, ‘Oh, I like girls.’

I said, ‘Well, if you talked to me you would have known that that is how I feel as well.’

After that we decided to refer to ourselves as brothers and asked our cosplay friends to refer to us as male.

RANKING: Best and worst performing banks of 2018

The year 2018 has been very challenging and equally eventful for the Nigerian banking sector. Skye Bank morphed into Polaris Bank, while Access Bank and Diamond Bank are fixing the bolts and nuts of the biggest banking deal of 2018.

The banking sector, which controlled trillions of naira in market value and transactional strength in 2018, also had a bleeding year, as many of the listed entities had massive declines in share price and market capitalisation.

The biggest bank in Nigeria, by market cap, for 2018 is Guaranty Trust Bank (GTB), with a year-end market cap of over N1 trillion at the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE).

Unity Bank had the smallest market cap by the end of the year, but had a drastic increase in market value, with a 109.8 percent increase in share price, to lead the pack as the best performing bank at the exchange for 2018.

Access Bank, on its way to becoming Nigeria’s largest bank, come 2019, had the worst year, in terms of market value, shedding 35.05 percent of its share price in 365 days.

Since the Herbert Wigwe-led bank made the move to acquire Diamond Bank, the latter has gained more than 45 percent in market value, becoming the bride of the Nigerian bourse.

The ranking above is basically driven by market forces and share value, it does not directly take into account corporate governance issues, non-performing loans (NPLs), and other management factors.

By market cap, the leading banks for 2018 are GTB, Zenith Bank, Stanbic IBTC, Ecobank and First Bank of Nigeria.

Banks not listed on the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE), such as Keystone Bank, were not taken into consideration while compiling this list.

We Are On Mission To Rescue Nigeria From Greedy Few – Buhari

President Muhammadu Buhari says his administration is on a mission to rescue the nation’s resources from being appropriated by “a privileged few in their never-ending quest to satisfy their greed”.

The President stated in his New Year message to Nigerians which was issued by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mr. Femi Adesina, in Abuja on Monday.

To this end, the president said the All Progressives Congress-led Federal Government had resolved to build a country in which the resources were utilized for the benefit of citizens, irrespective of their socio-political affiliations.

He said: “That is the journey we have embarked on since we came on board in 2015, and we are not distracted as we move on.

“We are resolved to build a country in which the resources are utilized for the benefit of the largest number, and not appropriated by a privileged few in their never-ending quest to satisfy their greed.

“We are on this mission together, and I assure you of a firm commitment to the ideals of a safe, secure, fair, just and prosperous country.’’

According to him, Nigerians desire peace, security, prosperity, inclusiveness and infrastructure development, a nation they can be proud of, a country that can hold its own among the nations.

He, however, stated that those who continued to trumpet falsehood and negativity were on their own, fighting a losing battle.

He noted that “the greater number of Nigerians are trusting and believing that we shall deliver on our promises for a level playing field at the polls, and that is what we shall do’’.

He, therefore, reiterated his promises and declarations that the general elections would be free, fair and credible.

“Elections need not be done or die affair, and we should not approach that eventuality in a democracy with trepidation and mortal fear.

“Happily, a large number of presidential candidates have committed to peace, and peace we shall have,’’ he added.

President Buhari acknowledged that the country had its challenges; ranging from security, economic, political to social, but the government had resolved to combat and overcome them all.

He, therefore, expressed the hope that Nigerians would renew the mandate they overwhelmingly gave the APC in 2015, for another term.

“I appreciate your support and collaboration in previous years, and look forward to same in 2019, and beyond, as I hope you will renew the mandate you overwhelmingly gave us in 2015, for another term.

“We are motivated by nothing other than service to the motherland, and service without selfishness or personal interest.

“I can assure you all that we are making steady and sustainable progress in all areas of national life. Those who are unbiased can see and appreciate the progress the country has made since 2015.

“A New Year provides an opportunity for renewal of commitment, and I invite you to rededicate ourselves to the vision of a Nigeria that works for all.

“We are moving from potentials to actualization, and it’s a task to be accomplished by us all; man, woman, young, old, military, civilian, all Nigerians. Please come along, as we journey to the land of our dreams. Happy 2019,’’ he said.

2019 Presidency: Buhari Releases 5 ‘Indisputable Facts’ About Atiku

President Muhammadu Buhari has released what he described as indisputable facts about the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar.

Buhari, in a statement he entitled ‘When the thief is shouting thief: the case of Alhaji Atiku Abubakar’ and signed by the Director of Strategic Communication of the Buhari Campaign Organization, Festus Keyamo, was responding to the allegation of corruption against him by the former Vice President.

A few days ago, the Presidential Candidate of the PDP, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, called out President Muhammadu Buhari over certain “corrupt practices” which the President allegedly condones in his government.

In the statement obtained by us, the President said that “after three days of publicly announcing that they have hard proof that the President’s relations bought shares in Etisalat and Keystone Bank, the PDP has not produced a single piece of paper, a document of any sort to buttress the grave allegations it made.

Whilst we have repeatedly addressed each and everyone very one instance cited by him to show the transparent nature of the government, it is shocking that the Presidential candidate of the main opposition has refused to issue a personal statement up till this minute clarifying in details his record of crass corruption and abuse of office.

He is clearly taking Nigerians for a ride and hopes to distort the ethical revolution in public office that Nigerians clearly desire to his own philosophy of abusing public office to promote private interests.

By his subliminal messages, he wants Nigerians to accept that becoming wealthy by abusing public office is not a bad thing after all.

With the avalanche of fake and unsubstantiated news released in the last few days, it is now clear that PDP’s strategy in the run up to the elections is to spread fake news and make wild allegations without any proof against the President and the Vice President.

This is clearly to divert attention from the record of crass corruption and abuse of office of their own candidate. Nigerians cannot and should not be insulted by the PDP after 16 years of looting of the nation, by now putting forward a man whose record of corruption they very much acknowledge, but would rather we all overlook it.
